State Dependent Differential Riccati Equation for Nonlinear Estimation and Control
State-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) methods for designing control algorithms and observers for nonlinear processes entail the use of algebraic Riccati equations. These methods have yielded a number of impressive results, however, they can be computationally quite intensive and thus far they have not yielded to those attempting to assess their stability. This paper explores an alternative, t...
متن کاملControllability Issues in Nonlinear State-Dependent Riccati Equation Control
In the last few years, algorithms using state-dependent Riccati equations (SDREs) have been proposed for solving nonlinear control problems. Under state feedback, pointwise solutions of an SDRE must be obtained along the system trajectory. To ensure the control is well-defined, global controllability and observability of state-dependent system factorizations are commonly assumed. This paper rig...
متن کاملState Agreement for Continuous-Time Coupled Nonlinear Systems
Two related problems are treated in continuous time. First, the state agreement problem is studied for coupled nonlinear differential equations. The vector fields can switch within a finite family. Associated to each vector field is a directed graph based in a natural way on the interaction structure of the subsystems. Generalizing the work of Moreau, under the assumption that the vector fields...
متن کاملOn the Sensitivity of the Coupled Continuous-Time Riccati Equation
The sensitivity of coupled continuous-time Riccati equations is analyzed through the norm of the inverse Lyapunov-like operator. This analysis leads to bounds on the perturbation of the solution. As a byproduct some properties of coupled Lyapunov equation and results on the stability of linear systems with jumps are presented.
متن کاملState-Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) Control: A Survey
Since the mid-90’s, State-Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) strategies have emerged as general design methods that provide a systematic and effective means of designing nonlinear controllers, observers, and filters. These methods overcome many of the difficulties and shortcomings of existing methodologies, and deliver computationally simple algorithms that have been highly effective in a variet...
